Play.com phone faulty after 3 months

I bought a phone from Play.com at the beginning of May, so i have had it about 3 months now.
At the start there were a few issues with the phone, i.e. resets for no reason and the phone freezing, however, nothing too bad so i just got on with it.
Now, it has just stopped working, vibrates as if it is going to work, but nothing happens.
The phone has been kept in a rubber protector and also had one of those plastic screen protectors on it, so the phone has always been kept in great condition, etc...
What do i do now and where do i stand as i have just read Play.com's website in regards to returns, and they only offer returns upto 28 days, surely there must be some sort of warranty, especially for electrical goods? ? ?
The phone is a Nokia 5800.
Thanks.

Is this a known fault with this handset or just a one off?
Did you buy it from play.com directly or another seller?
How did you pay for the item? You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0 -
It will have a guarantee, give them a ring.0

Sounds like a firmware issue. Maybe try upgrading the firmware.
Most nokia phones do have firmware issues when just out the box. Or atleast my 3 did :P0
