Childcare Vouchers... eh?! HELP!

:) hello there, I am wondering if ANYONE can help me regarding childcare vouchers?

Basically, I gave birth to a little girl 7 weeks ago, however, I am now looking into childcare as I hope to go back to work when she is approximately 6months old.

Before she was born, I have never really had ANY experience with tax credits or benefits and really dont have a clue about my entitlements. I have recently sent off the tax cred forms and child benefit forms so I dont know if we are entitled to any credits or how the system works regarding childcare.

I have found out that my employer does the childcare vouchers so me and my hubby will be able to get them, however, how does it work and what could we be entitled to?

We earn approx £44,000 before tax/etc, between us each year. Childcare in this area is approximately £140 per month.

Can someone please help us?! Thanks in advance!

Can't your employer advise on how the system works? I get £243 a month deducted from my salary and put into an account with Accor Services. I then had to set up monthly payments to my childcare provider via the Accor account.

I am planning on ringing them tomorrow but I didnt want to have a phone call that begins with me knowing nothing!

Thanks though. I now this sounds cheeky,, you dont have to share, but how much is that amount based on? Is it similar to ours?

£243 is the maximum each month you can have as childcare vouchers.
