I pour oil onto some odd bits of wood I had from crafting. A couple of drops keeps the wood scented for a week, and i hide them behind the tv where it gets warm, in my drawers and bathroom cabinet. It only takes a second to say 'Thanks, you just saved me a few quid!'

I am so sorry hun, but i nearly wet myself laughing, as i immediately thought that must be soooooooooo uncomfortable for you! er - I am of the generation where our grandparents referred to knickers as drawers!0 -
I second the reed diffuser idea...if you have a B & M Bargains near you, they sell a few types for £1 (I used the lavendar one & it was absolutely lovely!) When it was finished I used my own lavendar oil with some water & top up when necessary. Or, you can make a diffuser yourself if you have a little jar or bottle, fill with essential oil & water & use a few wooden kabob sticks (for bbq's) as the reed diffusers - they may still be in Poundland at the moment - there are loads in the bag & exactly the same as they use in the more expensive reed diffusers.0

I like the reed deffusers too, I bought one from Dunelm and then re-filled it with water and essential oil, just kept re-filling it as the water was soaked up. It stood on the shelf above the radiator in the hall. Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fragrance your home cheaply using essential oils?

Well I just use tissues, or put some boiled water in a small spray bottle and add the essential oils when it's cooled. Just shake well before you use it and it's best to find a spray that does a really fine spray so you can waft it around.0
