    Hi Marru!

Just a thought regarding calling your BF - you may be better off using a company like 18185 (see MSE link http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/phones/home-phone-calls?dd#halve) whereby the charge is only 5p for the entire call, and calling him from your landline?

I use them for calling a friend in the States and my parents use them for every call they make!

    Nats
    start = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225
end = Mon 28th Sept 2015 DEBT FREE!
I love a good plan - it may not work.... but I love a good plan!

Thanks Nats. When I get my new land line provide taking over I get free landline to land line calls (if I remember to redial after every 59 mins). What worries me is that I sometimes need to call when I am out and about and don't really want to have to cut down on that as those calls are important many ways. Will look in to it tho definitely.

Today managed to roll over £5.50 worth of Mr T vouchers that had expired in May so should get that back in November. Sadly won't get it for my school clothes shop to take benefit of their double your points offer. But I have still £20 worth of vouchers so that is £40 worth of clothes for DD and I. And yes - there is nothing in their other rewards (those that quadruple the points value) that are of any benefit for me.

Nothing really to update. I have been a bit poorly and haven't got as much done as I would have liked. I really don't want to go back to the docs so will see one more week and if I don't feel better I shall have to do that.

Anyway, tomorrow is the last day of the month so Wednesday is my deadline for updating the spreadsheets. I am now off from work until Thursday so hoping to get at least some of the other stuff done as well.

I came across THIS blog last night. I will have a very good browse around later as really need to get things simpler. Also I am trying to form a long term plan, this is what it looks like at the moment:

    - Get healthy (i.e. beat depression, keep into exercise routine and eat healthy food)
    - Finish ACCA (3 more exams 2010, 4 exams 2011, 1 exam 2012)
    - Finish some of my dog training studies to get practitioner status
    - Either in 2013 or 2014 go for one or two years volunteering overseas (using some of the professional routes to make use of my qualification as well)
    - 2015 come back (DD starts secondary school then) and see if I can find funding to start PhD

Keeping the plan in mind it should make decluttering the house easy and not to get any additional stuff as every time I can just ask myself: What will I do with this when I go away for a year or two?

Very productive today. Washing has been on, kitchen has been mucked out and so has one lot of guinea pigs. Little bit more washing to do and then I will hit the shops with DD for school stuff.

I have made couple of decisions thou. First: I am going to rehome my guinea pigs. As much as I love them I am not looking after them as well as I should. So have started ball rolling on that one. Secondly: I definitely will stop that website subscription. Considering what I am aiming to do in next eight years there is no way I will get time to work on that at all. And if I do come up with a brilliant idea I can use free stuff like blogs to do it. Now I just need to make sure that everyone who has my email address that is linked to the domain gets informed before I pull the plug.

Hi, yes I do but it is situation where Peter and his pal Paul keeps stealing from eachother. Yesterday's £180.- garage bill didn't help . I spent yesterday trying to update my spreadhseets historically but today I really need to move forward and complete my forecasting to know how much I have to put towards each pot. I will be house sitting this weekend so as they say - every little helps.

I have job interview next week for a full time job, which would require me to relocate. :jIf I get the job then this challenge will be changed to be "stick with the budget and pay off all the debts" - challenge.

I would then live closer to BF and wouldn't spend quite so much diesel to visit him (no, I don't want to move together with him quite yet - want to get my finances and my health sorted before taking that step). Also I want to make sure that my job, DD's school and where we live would be a bit closer together than they are at the moment. More saving in time and diesel. I have looked at the rental prices over there and I might be able to shave some off my rent as well.

In the meanwhile I am still updating my spreadsheets :(. Most important task now is to finally get meal plan sorted and some batch cooking done. I spend too much money on food when I am tired and CBA to cook or don't have anything to grab from home to have as lunch at work. I am planning on having freezer full of soups so at least lunches would then be sorted. Also I am collecting casserole (sp?) recipes for SC so that tea would cook itself during the day.

Chuck the cleaner, why is your domain name so much? a .co.uk is £2.99 a year. You can get breakdown cover with alot of bank accounts nowadays, try them. Your telephone is alot of money. I pay £10.50 line rental, and that's it.

    Hi,

If you had read my thread further you would have noticed that I have "chucked" the cleaner, decided to get rid of the website and changed my landline provider.

Also I am looking into getting the breakdown cover cheaper through another membership or failing that I will cancel it and see if I can get cashback through Quidco when doing it through them.
