Car side sill/skirt repair question

Hi,

Just after a bit of advise about my husbands car, he has side skirts on his car and in the middle they seem to have lost the adhesive but are still secure on the car.

What would be the best thing to repair it so that they are stuck down properly to the car, is there some sort of adhesive/bonding which is suitable?

Thanks
Sarah

I take it there after-market jobbies. There usually attached to body via a screw or bolt of some description then blended in with the body work using a car body filler, usually as cheap as possible with after market kit. They would need striping off and re blending in with a good quality flexible filler to do the job properly. Then a respray. There would be no addhive required.
  • They were fitted at the time of purchase from the dealer and are properly fixed at each end, it is just the adhesive in the middle seems to have gone so we just need something to adhere the plastic back to the car. Don't want to take the skirts off really.

Super glue, or some kind or compound glue may do the trick depending on the type of plastic it is fixing to the sill.

If all else fails, making a hole and screwing it in the middle will do the trick ;)
