cannot tax car

hi, ive recently bought a new car and wasnt given the log book for it ive sent off for a new one but have been told it takes upto 6 weeks for it to arrive so is there any way i can phone the DVLA office like in a week or so to check if its been processed and if i can tax the car at a DVLA office since ill be the new registered keeper on their system? previous owners were a company called mobility so i dont know if i should contact them if theyve recieved a tax reminder so i can tax it with that along with insurance and mot certificates?

If it was a MFL car then the tax class will need to be changed at a LVLO, not the DVLA/Post Office.

If the DVLA have issued a replacement then it will go to Smackability, I mean Motability at either their Bristol address:

Unsure if your V5 logbookhas changed into your name on the system yet but you may be able to tax online here:

Try ring DVLA up and chasing them.

At the same time they may be able to advise you if they have received the paper work etc to send you a new V5 Logbook
