Manufacturer's warranty

Options
Scenario: You purchase a branded phone from a network and flash it with the manufacturer ROM thus invalidating your network warranty.

In this instance does the manufacturer warranty still apply as you used one of their versions or does it have to be the network version?

Can you just post your question like a normal person without all the 'Scenario' dramatics?

There are no dramatics, it was worded simply in my opinion, does a manufacturer support a device flashed under its own ROM when it was shipped under an operator ROM?

depends entirely on manufacturers warranty terms and conditions, are we talking about android, if so its not the rom that invalidates but the rooting (detected by presence of new rom).
