House Prices Rise 0.6% in July-- Halifax

UK house prices rose 0.6% in July, Halifax says


UK house prices have continued to stabilise, according to the latest report from the Halifax.

The annual house price inflation rate fell from 6.3% to 4.9%, with the average property now costing £167,425.

    They say food is about to rise 10% as well so keep that loaf of bread Hamish.... it will worth a fortune one day! It will be soooooo good when house prices are so high there will be no FTB's unless banks offer 10 times wages again. People can mew like mad as well and buy things to boost the economy. Northern Rock can offer a 120% 'Together Mortgage' to help people who cannot afford to buy a house buy a house. Dance Hamish...... happy days are here again and your house makes more money than you do. When it all goes wrong they can go bankrupt and start afresh 6 months later and the tax payer can bail out the banks and then house prices will rise again.

    Personally I can see stagflation, upper a for few months, down the next. I think we have reached the ceiling level of what people can afford at the moment.

    The transactions numbers we are seeing at the moment, are the new normal.
