Hi all!
I have just bought a domain name at dotser.com (bargain price of $2.99 for the 1st year and they accept paypal!) and have registered for a hosting account with jamroll.net.Thanks to all who recommended these sites! I'm now waiting for my hosting account to be activated so that I can get started.
My question is, do I now need to buy website building software such as dreamweaver or something like that or do jamroll.net have tools that I can use?
Sorry if this is a silly question, this is my first time of having a website that isnt a subdomain so I'm kind of learning as I go along!
Thanks in advance ~ as always your suggestions would be very much appreciated!

It depends what kind of website it is and how much time/effort you want to put into it.
There are plenty of templates online to get you started. Do a search on this forum and you should see some older threads with links.
Dreamweaver is quite pricey for a beginner, so if you want a free WYSIWYG editor then try NVU. If you really want to learn HTML search for a good online HTML tutorial or get a book and use Notepad.0 -
Thats brilliant! Thanks nickmack!Sam0

Jamroll will also let you install a content management system, in which case you won't need to worry about web designing.Of course, I may just be talking b****cks!0

Thanks Wonka!
Hopefully it will be easyish to use! Although I must say I learn pretty quickly, so once I've made a start I should be able to figure it out!Sam0
