Car Insurance - Kept overnight in garage - every night?

Finally moving into a house with a garage, how grown up.
When I change the address on the car insurance, they'll ask where the car is kept overnight. I plan to actually use the garage but it's awkward to get in and out of (it's approached from a bit of an angle). My guess is the car will be in the garage during the week (we don't use it for work), but will end up sitting on the drive at weekends when we're popping out in it.
So, if you tell your insurance the car is garaged overnight, I assume it should be garaged every night? Am I safer to insure it as 'on the drive' in case something happens one night when it's not in the garage?

Yes, unless you are going to habitually use the garage then you need to say it's on the drive/road.
If you popped home for 5 minutes to get your purse then no-one in their right mind would expect you to put it in the garage, but if you are habitually storing it elsewhere e.g. at weekends then you cannot claim a discount for it being in the garage.
Be careful claiming small discounts if you don't habitually stick to the terms.
It might result in a refused claim and is mostly not worth it.
It's the same for an alarm on a house.
You get a small discount, but what happens one day when you forget to put it on??0
