hi please excurse if this the wrong thread
i bought a travel size all in one contact lens solution from boots when i went on holiday. during that holiday i had very sore eyes and had to stop wearing my contact lenses, this spoilt my holiday as i don't have glasses
on retuning home i had a letter from boots recalling this product, due to a small number of complaints. after several letters they have not identified the problem yet but are offering me £50 to cover the cost of replacing contact lens, doesn't seem much when hol a cruise in med....ruined with sore eyes, sesitive to light, and couldn'd see properly.
dont no what to do accept or take advice elsewhere...any suggestions appreciated
sorry if i'm rambeling on

I doubt you would be entitled to anything more - it's not their fault that it happened when you were away. Most people I know who would be going on that sort of holiday would have taken a spare pair of glasses as they wouldn't have wanted anything to ruin it.0

Hi MaceyJay
I have had the same problem with the boots solution, and not only did my eyes sting, but i had to go to the A&E hospital and they diagnosed a cornea burn. I am now still not able to wear my lenses after 15 days, and now have an eye infection. Just wondering whether boots have given you anything more... as 50 pounds will not go a long way in paying for my lost lenses and optician visits + medicine... I have written to them, but am awaiting an answer.

if you were medically injured then i you have reason for a claim if it was unfortunate i think its up to them if they wish to pay out
speak to a lawyer and see if you have a case:A VK :A0
