I marinade them in garlic and thyme or rosemary, and some olive oil, and cook them on a hot griddle pan, for about 5-8mins a side depending how thick they are, then squeeze over some lemon before serving (good old Nigel Slater :) ), they are lovely, moister than loin chops because of the marbling :)

Similar flavours to above, but we like them cooked l-o-n-g and s-l-o-w in the oven. Wipe a little olive oil onto a sheet of foil, sprinkle the chops with oregano, slices of fresh garlic, salt and pepper and a slice of lemon, wrap into parcels and place in a baking tray for a good few hours on a very low oven. all the juices are contained in the parcel and the meat is mouthwateringly tender.
  • I had some the other day to cook and felt as if I were in a bit of a quandry too.

I fried them off (browned) them in a pan, and then transfered into the slow cooker with a bit of stock and a good glug (half the bottle) of something called "Yoshida's Gourmet Sauce" - it was lurking in the cupboard - and a couple of table spoons of honey. Might sound overkill but it was blerdy lovely. :p
    Two thumbs fresh!:money:

:D Thanks all, they are all lovely ideas and sound delish!! I have however decided to go for the slow baked in the oven idea, so I will let you all know how it goes!!

Gonna make some boulangere potatoes and some runner beans with it too... Yum!

Hi, Well I didn't do so well with them - I managed to have the heat up too high I think - they were pretty dried out and crunchy in places!! :o However they were delicious still, and had they been nice and moist they would have been perfect!

Will have to buy them again to see if I can do better next time...

    Thanks again, :)

next time, you might like to try marinading them for a couple of hours in a mix of 1/2 tomato ketchup,1/2 soy sauce.
then cook for 30 mins at 180 degrees, yummy!
