Unmarked Police car with ER badges on boot...?

Spotted a silver 07 plate 3 Series the other day on the M56 with blues and two's on. Moved over to let it past and it had two ER badges on its back end. Never spotted that before on cop cars. Or was it some Royalty bollox?

    Yeah, I'm thinking RMP too, but I've never seen an unmarked RMP car. They usually drive marked up Peugeots.
