VW Golf Mk 4 TDI

  • Hi

The first time I had such a problem that tracking didn't cure, it was on my first brand new car (a ford escort).

The Ford dealer tried everything, including checking the front strut alignment but it still wandered left (was only abouit 3 months old).

In the end, they got a local tyre centre, who had what was then a new lazer alignment test rig, to do a full 4 wheel alignment.

They could not tell what was wrong, as they literally slacken everything off and recalibrate to factory settings, but it was perfect after that.

More recently, my son's Mk4 golf GTI went through the same process and was cured too.

    Hope this helps.
    Good luck
