Paid up my Sainsburys cc, and the 0% on purchases is now ending this month. I want to buy something on cc. Should I just open a new 0% on purchases with someone else? If I do this will I have to close my Sainsburys one.
Or should I just put it on the Sainsburys card and then balence transfer the amount to a new card?
Also if I apply for a new card, how long will it take to come? I'm pretty desparate for what I need to purchase.
TIA

If you have fully paid up your Sainsbury's card & are looking for something with another long purchase. Try Halifax (9months @ 0%) or Natwest (9months @ 0%). Mint are doing a 0% until July of next year (so again, about 9months by the time you get your card & activate it etc...)
Ohh - just found this: GE Money Transformation has a 12 month at 0%

Edit to add: It really does depend on your circumstances, but if the application goes smoothly & they accept complete online applications, you could receive your card within a few weeks0 -
Thanks very much for that info I'll go have a look at them.0

The Nationwide card is also a good choice, as in addition to the 9 months interest free spending it also gives better foreign transaction performance which may also be of benefit if you travel a lot0

And in terms of how long it will take, I would assume at least 2 weeks, but probably 3 to 4 weeks maximum0
