Washing Machine pipe help

My washing machine has gone bang and i have a new one being delivered on Monday, but i have a problem.
The taps underneath that have the little switch off taps, the hot water one has come off. Tried to turn the hot water off today (washing machine was meant to be delivered today), but it just kept on running out of the tap. I turned the water underneath the sink off, the tap in the stair cupboard that said for main valve stop for roof tank and a little red tap that has hot on it.
Did all that and the water still kept coming out, but it was cold.
Anyone have any ideas
Im really stumped.
Thanks

May be that you have a hot water tank in the loft that needs to be drained. Even if you shut off the supply to this tank you will have to turn on a hot water tap downstairs until the remaining water has emptied out of the pipes.0
