Elvis so far
Couldn't walk to the train station this morning because it was pouring down, used the car but parked further away to take advantage of free parking, still got wet LOL
No coffee on the train, waiting and had free in the office when I got there.
Used the company travel office to book my tickets to improve cash flow and cut complication with expenses.
Will eat from the buffet instead of buying expensive crap that tastes bad anyway.

Woo, Elvis is in the building
(you young 'uns will have no idea :rotfl: )
Morning All :hello:
Well I'm having a frustrating week!
1) RAC / MBNA have no idea where the credit card payment I made went  Both blame each other and say I now have to wait for a refund  and neither will give me an e-mail address so I hang on a very expensive overseas call instead :mad:
2) Vendor hasn't notified the DVLA that he sold the car to us, the tax runs out at the end of August and the only way we can tax it is to go into the post office with the slip we have here in Africa before 11th August - so not possible. So DS1 cannot borrow it after 31/08/10 because we'll have to SORN it on-line instead
3) safari we wanted for DS1 is unavailable the dates we want (a bargainous, romantic one for their honeymoon)
When on-line stuff works this overseas life is as efficient as it can be. Skype-ing family, on-line banking, dealing with beaurocracy (sp?) when they work are brilliant, when things go wrong :mad::mad:
So today I have/will:
- continue knitting Sis's Christmas pressie (which I want now.....:o)
- send some newsy e-mails to friends
- meal from plan (it'll be the 3rd NSD this week!
) - 15 (or maybe 30 ) mins on the CT........
- not light the fire again tonight - snuggling up to Popeye is cheaper :grinheart
- water my seedlings
Have a great day everybody :A0 -
Hi fellow DFWs! :hello:
Am still all bizz today with my new hair and my big date tonight! :j I have no idea where we’re going (though I know it is out for a meal – yay!!) I have just been told where to meet. I have my dress with me and all my make-up (brought a small trailer to work today) so I will get ready after work and then I meet hubby at 6:15 in a bar near Oxford Circus. Eeeeek!! Excited!! :T
Okay, so, if I can concentrate, today I plan to:- Check online banking
- Email friend re: Mum’s school thing
- Phone up about driving lessons (didn’t do that yesterday – bad Jo)
- Bring lunch from home
- Charge phone if needed
- Drink free tea at work
- [STRIKE]Be excited about date[/STRIKE] That one's easy!
- Talk to my friend in work about my new gardening project (I think I mentioned it on here last night – very excited about it!)
Think that’s it for a while. Will have a look through the thread now and catch up on all your bizz.

Hairdresser friends recommend using Head'n'Shoulders for stripping colour!
All hairdressers I know think that H'n'S is rubbish as a shampoo (FAR to stringent!) but good at fading loud colour.
Good luck - if your hair is wrong it can make you feel down (or is that just me? :rotfl:)0 -

Thanks OliveOyl...had heard about H&S...am also considering Vitamin C tablets...trying to keep to costs down..hence why i coloured it myself! oh hum...Many years ago thereused to be a colour called 'chilli pepper' cant remember the make - it was the same as my natural colour but gave it a lift and made my curly hair shiny!
And yes it makes memiserable when my hair isnt right...am known for my natural cury red/ginger hair...been away for a while..need to get on financial track! debts.....Post Grad Student Loan, Northern Rock Loan, Egg CC, Halifax CC, A&L CC, A&L overdraftAllotment plot holder since Feb 2008 :j0
