:)When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free :money:

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important :)

morning campers  thought I'd start us off again. Yay have the day off of work (but will pay for it on Saturday as I'm working :( but for now I'm going to enjoy the freedom! :j)

Out with my dd today, need to go and pick her up leaving at 9 so will need to be very efficient if I'm going to get things done before I leave (Saturday was really nice with her, best time we've spent together in months so I'm hoping we're on a roll now towards better times)

So today:
  • [STRIKE]check banking[/STRIKE]
  • [STRIKE]pay student money into holiday acc[/STRIKE]
  • [STRIKE]update sig[/STRIKE]
  • get petrol :(
  • dinner from plan
  • [STRIKE]put ham hock in sc before I go out[/STRIKE]
  • hang up washing inside as ouside is rainy :(
  • [STRIKE]make bacon bagettes before I go out so I don't buy lunch when out with dd ;)[/STRIKE]
  • any surveys
  • more filing - broke the back yesterday :D
  • [STRIKE]take dd (food) shopping later[/STRIKE]
  • make cake later
  • [STRIKE]
  • dig out some wrapping paper to wrap friend's dd's birthday present
  • [/STRIKE]feed toms later
ok that'll do. Intending to have a good & stress free day. Wishing the same to you all x

    Morning all
Hope you have a lovely day today DNMS! And *waves* to cat.

Had a lovely ride out to Poole last night, though when we got there manouvering through all the bikes mine over heated and started pee'ing out water! It wasn't that much of a drama cos it's mainly air cooled - the water cooling only kicks in when idling or filtering etc - so if I kept moving it was OK. Had a great run back but it's being picked up today from my house to strip it down again :(

Anyways, that aside, here is my list:-

    - Lunch and snacks from stores
    - Check banking
    - Update notebook with new bills coming in
    - Try and sell lots of labour!
    - Nurse my aching wrists after last night, not ridden for sooo long they hurt like 6uggery this morning!
    - Bike being picked up by friend to be fixed - DFW as he doesn't charge me for this!
    - Dinner from stores tonight
    - Do some OnePoll
    - Work 1/2 car tax into budget this month, 1/2 next month
    - 1x HC over night tonight, think I have enough for a white load???

    Jx
Nothing to report as yet...give me a minute...!

Morning ladies - it's pouring down here! Like winter!

So, no dog walking yet (will have to brave the rain later if it doesn't stop although dog wouldn't even go out to the garden in the rain!) and it looks like no going out today so hopefully a NSD.

    My list for today....
    • Put dry washing away done
    • Walk dog for free exercise done 2
    • Checked banks - horrible done
    • Checked quidco - plenty of potential money validated but none paid out yet done
    • Do any surveys that come only 1 so far
    • Go through school work and write a list of things that need to be done
    • Maybe bath dog if he gets really mucky on walks not too bad so will hold off
    • Wait in for new mobile to be delivered came at noon
    • All food from stores - tuna pasta bake and garlic bread for tea
    • Tidy out chest of drawers
    • Do more shredding
    • Tidy kitchen done
    • Maybe one load of washing - jeans washing I think done
    • Stay in (again) tonight
    • Eat the blackberry and apple concotion I made last night after my very frugal fruit picking yesterday - yummy;) done!
    • Start a meal plan for next week - shopping on Saturday so need a list too done
    • Try to have a NSD going well so far
    • Change the timers on the heating system - I don't get up at 6 in the hols so the water doesn't need to be on for so long done
    • Dust downstairs done
That's all I can think of so far..... another boring stay at home day for me.

ETA - have also posted back no claims doc to new insurance people and electoral register thing to council (both freepost)
Still bored and mooching about though.

Morning all, I dont really post much on this thread but will try to keep it more current as I do find it helps me focus for the day!

    Today I will:

    - [STRIKE]Cancel car insurance[/STRIKE]
    - [STRIKE]Check bank balance[/STRIKE]
    - If above bank balance is healthy enough, amend flights for next month
    - If above has been done, cancel hostel and book a shorter stay
    - Cook pasta for dinner as need to use up pasta sauce in fridge
    - Hang washing up
    - Clean kitchen - was too tired last night and OH's mum and friend came over so left everything in mess :(

Unfortunately, I'm stuck at work until 6pm today so all of the above will have to be done once I've got home. Luckily though, OH will help out with the majority (he doesnt know this yet though!) :)
:j *~* 2011 - TRY TO GET CREDIT CARD AS LOW AS POSS BUT STILL HAVE FUN *~* :j
