Thank you very much OP. Reserved mine at 7.45 this morning and then had a call at 10am saying there had been a discrepancy in the computer system, asked to speak to the manager (which I did for 5 mins until he hung up on me) I pointed out that I had ordered it in good faith etc etc etc etc but he still hung up on me (I was extremely polite BTW) Anyway before he hung up I assured him I would be discussing it with his head office. Lo and behold an hour later I got a call from the store saying that one had just been delivered and I should pick it up asap :)...... Nice one OP, bargain of the year so far :) :T:T:T

Sloooooooooow response, poor screen sensitivity, settings menus a little bizarre....

    But worth £30

Don't forget to install the free April 2010 map update and the new software.

  • None anywhere in the UK now.

If that statement is based upon what the website tells you, then it is in error as the website lies.

There is a store I know for a fact has 3 pristine, unreserved in-stock, yet the website reports the store as OOS.

That was going to be my response too! For £30 I was willing to take a punt. Reserved one in Currys on Old Kent Road this morning and picked it up over lunch. Looks like they are out of stock now - there were a couple of other people picking them up as well!

Another thanks to the OP for the heads up :)

Thats where I picked mine up from tonight. They had another 3 left that had all been reserved.

Whole thing is very strange. I also phoned one of our local branches - there were none available to reserve online yet the store has 3 in stock but she said that they are £79.99. When I mentioned the price online she said that was an older European model and these are different yet it's still the Navman M400. Surely there's not two versions of it? Anyway, she has put one aside for me until tomorrow and I will take along a print out of the price online - nothing to lose if they refuse to accept it!
  • There are 2 versions.
The European model and the UK & Ireland model.
Both are M400 but the UK & Ireland model isn't reduced as much as the European one.
I was also told to check around 9.30 am tomorrow to see if any more European models were delivered.

I've got 1 here, setting it up for my wife.
Wouldn't mind another for my car.

Where is the download for the 2010 map?
I've had a quick look around but haven't seen this.

    Thanks
    Brian
