I want to restock with no-nasties toiletries

I'm coming to the end of most of my toiletries etc., and want to buy brands that are SLS free, paraben free, etc.
I've already got a moisturiser I'm happy with but as we don't have any major shops anywhere near (nearest 50 miles) I have nowhere to go and have a good moochy.
Can anyone suggest any brands for the following
Eye cream - not for dark shadows particularly, something for mature skin so perhaps anti-wrinkle.
Shampoo and conditioner for grey/dry/mature hair - I usually buy for dry or coloured hair and it's usually fine.
Shower cream/gel.
Deodorant.
Facial wash/hand wash.

I can definitely recommend the Body Shop's new deodorants. I got the stick version (prefer these to roll-ons, though have their Aloe roll-on too, which is also good).
It is excellent. Works great for me, no smell even by the end of a long day, and no nasties in it at all!
I am using the citrussy one at the moment, but also have the floral one to try after it's used up.0 -

Thanks for that, I prefer sticks or dry cream to roll-ons so I'll start a shopping list!0 -
Hello,
Try Lush, they have great products that are not tested on animals and have products for vegans and don't use nasty chemicals.
I get quite a lot of my products here, shampoo, conditioner, hair masks, shower gel, soap. The list is endless. They do deoderants too although I haven't tried any of those.
Many products get really good reviews on the website too.0 -
I use Faith in Nature, I've tried the shampoo, conditioner, face wash, facial toner, shower/bath gel and the bar soap - all good quality and very reasonable prices too.0

Dr. Bronner Magic Liquid Soap (available online but definately available at Wholefoods)
Can be used as a "detergent" for anything. Face, Hands, Kitchen, Hair, Body. I wouldn't reccomend using it on your hair though given your hairtype.
NAKED Bodycare (available at Boots or online)
Shampoo and Conditioner, they offer a few different ones so select depending on hair type. They also offer styling products as well as really moisturising shower gel, bath foam, a REALLY NICE "Rose Softening Face Wash" which I think would be great for your skin.
KORRES
Body Lotion - depending on what you need I'd try either the Korres Body Butters (yum!) or the Body Milks. Also they do a selection of different eye creams which you could look into.
TESCO
Yes, Tesco. Their ownbrand toiletteries may not be SLS free etc but they are paraben free. I love the Vitamin E face wash. There is also a very highly rated eye cream in their Bnatural range.
WELEDA (available at Boots)
I've only tried the cellulite oilso I can't comment on the rest of the range!!!
GOOD THINGS (available at Boots)
Although this is targeted at young skin, it may be beneficial for other people reading this thread. I tried and liked the face wipes when I couldn't get hold of my Korres ones.

Hi TomsMom:) Which moisturiser do you like?, I'm on a quest for an anti aging one with no mineral oils that dosent cost a fortune, beware of Lush products, they are lovely but some do contain nasties:eek:they dont hide it but dont advertise it either, the trouble I have with natural products is, especially the shampoo and conditioner, just dont work, I second the Body Shop Deo, very nice, I'm using the floral one atm, Kiehls are nice but nothing special and quite expensive, greenpeople is a site you might find useful - good luck:)Thank you for this site MartinThe time for change has comeGood luck for the future0

I use Organic Surge from Boots, the link is to the one for dry skin. It's a rose fragranced one, I love rose. I get my DD to stock up for me when it's on 3 for 2 and then she brings it when she visits. I don't have a Boots (or anything but the Co-op!) near me.
Funtime Frankie Thanks for that great list and the links. I'll check them out and the ingredients and get a shopping list ready.0 -

I am a big fan of the Dr Organic range from Holland and Barrett, a good price and no nasties, I use the shampoo and conditioner, eye cream, and the teatree body wash makes you feel squeeky clean and fresh especially in hot weather. I am very tempted to try their skin care range as I have ultra sensative skin, and at the mo what I use is very £££.
Using the the mauka honey Rescue Cream is a life saver for any dry, flakey bits and cutilces too, it has really helped calm down a recent bad bout of excema. The soap is good too.
