Travel Insurance Query- usa and mexico

Hi all,

Me and my girlfriend are due to travel to las vegas for 4 nights then on to cancun mexico for another 10 night. The travel insurance websites tend to state that if your going to two locations, then select the one thats furthest away. in this case this would be Las vegas at 5235miles as cancun is 4954 from london. Should i just go ahead and take out a policy for usa, as this should cover cancun?

Many thanks

Dan

Most travel policies are divided into 3 categories - Europe, Worldwide excluding USA and Worldwide including USA. So furthest away could be misleading in some cases.

    Here USA should be fine.

Just make sure you read the policy terms and conditions before you buy the product and make sure that the area you select does cover the destinations you are visiting.

Also make sure you comply with any recommendations on vaccinations etc for any areas that you might visit as your medical cover usually will require you to ensure these are all up to date.
