Anywhere In Glasgow To Repair My Tua Viso ElectroStim Beauty Device?

I know this isn't particularly "techie", but I wasn't sure where to post this.
Basically I bought a Tua Viso second-hand from ebay (which is a hand-held electrostimulation beauty device for contracting face muscles, operated with a 9 volt (PP3) battery. It has sponges which dampen to conduct the electrical impulses and an LCD display timer).
Anyway, I've had it for 3 months, used it for 2, and in the middle of a session it went completely dead. There's no comeback with the seller, as it was out of warranty. I've tried other batteries, still nothing.
I'm wondering where I could take it in Glasgow to see if it's repairable? The manufacturer wasn't interested (tinarichards.com) and offered that I buy a new one for £189!! Someone suggested Maplins but I don't know if they'd laugh me out of the store

For face muscles, yeah right

In Govanhill, around Victoria Rd, Allison St, Calder St, there are numerous small electronic shops, mainly run by Asians. I have had hairdryers, car radios, electric razors, coffee grinders etc all fixed there. If it's electric or electronic they are pretty good.
I can't give you the name of a shop off hand but if you are near that area you won't have much difficulty finding one.0 -
Maplin don't fix stuff. Or shouldn't, at least. They're not insured etc. I worked there for a while and I did fix a few things for people and made up the odd custom cable, but it's down to how that particular branch is run. Some managers are a bit more relaxed about it, some are 100% by the book. If I still worked there I'd tell you to pop in.

Like Bob says, there are a few places around Viccy rd. Easy to get to by bus and train from the city centre, and easy-ish to park nearby too. They say it's genetic, they say he can't help it, they say you can catch it - but sometimes you're born with it0 -
It IS for face muscles, though Violet Wands (I have a Dermawand which is a lesser-powered version) are used by kinksters. I know about TENS machines for "miscellaneous" purposes and this would be no good, believe me. I'm a skincare junkie

Shawlands/Victoria Road sounds like an idea (haven't been there for years!). I'll head down there in a day or two. I'm in the city centre but can't think of any small electrical retailer-y places.0 -
I wonder why the ebay seller got rid of it, possibly because they found out that it made absolutely no difference whatsoever.;)0

You DO see a lot of Tua Visos on ebay, some report results on forums, some don't. As I'm a (comparably) youthful 38, nearly 39, I see it as maintenance, and I do face exercises too, yes, I know it all sounds nuts.
The body electrostim units get used by those for physical therapy so they must have some effectiveness? Think the jury's out on these gadgets, though. No way would I pay nearly £200 for a Tua Viso!0
