Edinburgh Castle and Zoo - Any offers?

We're off to Edinburgh in a couple of weeks for daughter's 12th birthday. Does anyone know of any offers for admission to the zoo and castle.

Also, I have recently seen a "2 for 1 offer" for the dungeon but can't seem to find it now, can anyone help?

Any information would be very much appreciated.

Cheers

  • Hi Harty

You can get a 2 for 1 voucher at https://www.gosummer.com for Edinburgh Dungeon. My son had a book home from school last week and it said that all of October kids go free to Edinburgh Castle. The zoo doesn't have offers on that often but may i recommend Mary Kings Close. Different from the dungeons but gives a real insight into old Edinburgh. The Scottish mueum is free and good to pass a few hours if raining. Also grey friars Bobbys graveyard is a minutes walk from the Museum. Although my son has a hatred for thsi dog sine we sat and read the book next to his masters grave in the pouring rain. Hope this helps.
  • I would avoid Edinburgh Dungeon, overpriced for what you get even with discount.

Thanks for the information and advice kamasooty and devild. I managed to get my "2 for 1" voucher from gosummer. I think we'll still be visiting the dungeons.

    Cheers!

    Hi,

Apologies for jumping on this thread, but we are also going to Edinburgh at half-term (12th February). Although back in September there were no offers for Edinburgh Zoo, are there any on now?

    Many thanks.

Only current offer I know of it for locals only who can get in for free if they have a Citycard and a coupon from a council newspaper.

Everyone however can get in for free on St Andrews Day
