What's wrong with my TV?

I just tried to select channel 24 (ITV 4) on my built-in Freeview TV, and a message came up saying "ITV 4 does not exist. Do you want to remove it?"

I selected Cancel and tried again but the same thing happened. I often watch ITV 4 and haven't re-tuned the set or anything, so what's going on? When I scroll down the channels list it is there, but I can't select it from there either as the same message comes up.

Did you try to re-tune your TV?

I did that, and it showed ITV 4 in the list, but when I selected it the same "does not exist" message came up.

Will try in the morning (except it doesn't start up until evening does it?) and maybe have to run the re-tune option.

They've probably changed the channel assignments on your transmitter - they are forever doing it on mine.

Delete it, re-tune and it will ~probably~ pop up again with a different channel number. If you haven't retuned recently you might get a few others as well - though most probably won't be worth watching!

Thanks fwor (love the username btw). Guess I'll have to do that then. Pity as it's good having the right channel numbers shown in the TV mag so I hope it manages to stay the same.
