Do National Express prices change as date gets nearer?

I'm used to this with Ryanair but it seems to me that the ticket price I've just checked out on the National Express website, for a journey I want to make in September, is a few pounds higher than it was when I did the same check last Friday.

Can anyone confirm?

If you are looking at a standard fare I would have thought that would it be unchanged.

If you are looking at fun fares then yes they could be higher - not because they have gone up as such, but because the cheaper ones have been sold and a higher priced batch offered.

Prices vary, Sister found that out a couple of years back. Needed a coach
    from Skegness to Birmingham.

Only run direct on fixed days and prices varied several times over the week or so we looked.

Had to phone her up and say quick if you want to book do it now its cheaper.
