Old wrought iron gates: worth anything?

Options
We have two wrought iron gates at the entrance to our driveway, nothing fancy just typical 70s/80s type gates. I don't like them they're not in brilliant condition but serviceable, would I be able to get some cash fir them for scrap or would it be best to just take them to the tip?

You should be getting in the region of £100/tonne as scrap so probably marginal if worth chasing around with them unless very heavy. Stick them on EBay and try and get a few quid?
  • Not really worth it then I see! Tbh I don't think anyone would buy them as there's some curly bits missing and they really are only good for scrap
