Re-Chroming Pram Chassis

Hi all, I have an old fashioned Marmet pram with a hard body - and am going to be needing to re-use it again in a few months.
Unfortunately the last time I cleaned it I never really thought properly about it and used an abrasive cleaner on the chrome chassis, this inevitably has led to the chassis becoming rusty , does anyone know of the best way to repair this? someone has suggested getting chrome cleaner from Halfords but not sure how this would work and I don't want to spend a fortun buying stuff that will be useless...
Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated - I love my 'old fashioned' pram

Before you do anything, try some coca cola on an unobtrusive spot. It brings chrome car bumpers up a treat..................
....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)

If it really needs re-chroming, then get some classic car magazines and look in the adverts, but chrome polish normally gets rid of the rust temporarily.0

There are products out there for rust on chrome, i used to use them on my bmx as a kid. But be carefull if the chrome is peeling as chrome splinters are nasty and dangerous, use a wire brush or wire wool and gloves to remove it.0

I don't think a wire brush or wire wool on chrome is a very good idea if the OP wants the chrome to look better and not worse..................
