Thanks for your reply and for the first time, information regarding the actual results of my survey.

I have checked your figures from the survey and whilst I was led to believe that our orientation less during the original visit, I agree that we face 15 degrees to the East of South. Measuring with a spirit level I get a 23 degree pitch on my roof so again close enough. According to the table on your website using the figures from your survey shows my roof as 98%.

I cannot accept that for 98% efficiency (if I read it correctly) you expect me to part fund the system. Surely you cannot only install Free systems on 100% properties as this would give you a very small market.

I will discuss by telephone again tomorrow to see whether we can move forward based on these figures.

Try Solarlec they're in Burnley and have 1000 free systems. Don't know what their terms and conditions are but at least they're a bit closer to you

Not sure if it has been mentioned but there now seems to be a comparison site to compare the systems available and local contractors

I have just received a brochure from a company called 'Sol et Libre' who are offering to install and maintain solar panels on my roof for free.

They are also offering to pay a cash incentive if I apply before the end of January. Seems like a good deal.

Has anyone else here heard of them or had any experience of dealing with them?

I would like to add an update to my experiences with HomeSun.

Since my original post was picked up by Krish of customer services, I have been in direct contact with a couple of people and I must say that my experience has been much improved. I have received a full explanation of my survey results and now better understand the various considerations relating installation of a PV System on my home. I think that the original person who handled my questions was not representative of the whole organisation. My experience has now been of professional, informative and helpful service and I would like to publicly thank them for the way my concerns were addressed and my questions answered.

Are you having them installed and are you paying the £5 a month
