Old mortgage- how can I find out if I paid PPI

I had a mortgage with Platform Funding from June 2004 until Sept 2006 and don't know if I paid PPI. I have since moved home and mortgage companies when I remarried. Any advice?

MPPI is typically set up one of two ways. The right way and wrong way.
Right way - monthly payment by direct debit from your current account. Easy to see that on your bank statements
Wrong way - added to your mortgage as a single premium and charged interest over the term. Fairly easy to spot as you are sent a policy document etc at the start and your mortgage will be many thousands of pounds higher than you thought it should be. It cannot be hidden away.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only.
