Long Shot - MUD Server Admin?

This is a bit of a long shot,

I have a lot of problems *hangs head in shame*

But, at the moment... I have a MUD for which our last server disappeared, have purchased a new host, uploaded all our files... but we're having serious compiler issues, whether it's the library that's out of date, or it's a different compiler... when we get the thing compiled (with hundreds of warnings), the MUD itself has what looks to be memory leaks, and random crashes, and won't let people log in.

This was a 100% running mud 2 weeks ago, all we did was reupload onto a different server so I can only assume it's either their OS, compiler, library files, or something.

I own the mud, but I'm not server admin, I never have been. I am really out of my depth and we have 3000 pfiles and about 200 active people jumping down my neck because they want their game back - and i'm really stuck.

You can tell I'm desperate and they'd lynch me if they knew i was asking for help in a public forum but does anyone have any experience with setting up MUDs and server administration?

Also, if anyone knows anyone who works professionally in the area of setting up servers/gaming hosts, etc... I suspect this is only an hour or 2's work for someone experienced with it, and I'm not above paying for the service, if anyone has any recommendations.
