    The NICEIC are not the only governing body (they just think they are :rotfl:)

    You should use a competent person for the work, links below
    In Scotland:
    Individuals registered;
    http://www.sbsa.gov.uk/register/ListAC.asp
    Companies
    http://www.sbsa.gov.uk/register/SearchRegCo.asp?T=Construction
    In England and Wales:

    Didn't say they were - I was giving a recommendation based on the fact that I had personally seen them checking the quality of work done by one of their registered electricians. The trouble with a lot of these lists is that people simply pay to be on a list with no checking done as to their abilities and whilst I suspect there are still a few rogues on the NICEIC list I know they at least check some occasionally!

    All 5 of the Part P registration bodies assess ALL their members work annually, and we have to pay the !!!!!!s for the privilege of being assessed! :mad:

    NICEIC don't write the regs - they only think they do (as it happens, the IET do).
