adding a driver to my insurance

Im currently getting quotes of 3k, tried phoning everywhere and gone on all comparison websites and thats the cheapest.
I can't add my parents to my insurance they both have 2 claims but I did it adding my nan and got it down to 2300.
Is this legal to do this as she doesn't live in the same town and If I crash will it affect her no claims?
thanks

How about Direct line as they say the no claims of drivers who were part of the deal would not be affected. Of course it depends on whether they can match your price. Its worth checking.0

You can add her as a named driver, just make sure you are still down as the main driver/user of the vehicle and policyholder (owner too if you own the car). Be sure to answere all the questions asked about her correctly.0

It is legal.
It wouldn't be legal if the policy was in her name claiming she was the main driver.
Since you are named as the main driver it is legal.0
