When I'm geting ready I really don't have time to be messing about tipping bits onto a saucer or into the lid, then juggling with that, and then trying to tip it back in again and I don't want to waste any because there's only a small amount to start with. So, I had a pot of bronzing pearls that I haven't used in months, so I threw the pearls away, cleaned out the pot, and shook all of the powder into the container. Job done, and I can get my brush in much easier as it's a bigger pot :T
Only problem with that is you'll end up with far too much on the brush and use far more than you would if you used the lid.
What I do is unscrew the lid but hold it on top of the pot, turn it upside down and tap gently til some falls into the lid, remove the lid and swirl the kabuki brush in it. It limits what comes out so no wastage, no overloading the brush and if there's some left in the lid when you're finished, it's not a problem. Just carefully pop the lid back on and then there's a bit there ready for the next day.
When I first started using mineral make up I was completely bamboozled by what to do with it. There are some fantastic videos on Youtube which show you how to get it out, how to apply it etc. I recommend you have alook, I haven't looked back.I'll have some cheese please, bob.0
