Looking for a pendant light transformer

Hi, the transformer in my pendant light has broken and I'm having problems in finding a replacement. I contacted my local lighting shop and they were helpful enough to find the original suppliers (they don't deal with them directly) but I've had no reply from them.
I've tested the wiring etc going to the light so I'm sure that it's the transformer which has failed so can anything advise on where I may find another one?
I do not have a recess in the ceiling to fit a standard transformer so I really need an original replacement or something which will fit inside the light housing.
