When I checked prices a few days ago £1600 looked perfectly reasonable. You tried to get it cheap and he said no, so what?0

Not so much as to advice OP, but I didn't want to just read and run.
I hope that you manage to get everything sorted out and the divorce goes through as easy and pain-free as possible.

Sorry guess i'm mad because the payment is really a goodwill gesture on my part, if it goes to court it's unlikely that he will get anything for it, because I have three young children I live in a rural area and need the car for them, he is a single bloke that lives on a bus route, lots of sour grapes here at the minute!!
He also wants me to sell my house and give him half, and expects me and his children to move in with my parents, so as you see he's a very reasonable bloke.
We are six months into the divorce and its going nowhere at all!!!0
