Ppi

I fell into problems with a bank loan, some credit cards and an overdraft after losing my job........ I was put on a payment plan which i kept to often paying in more than the stipulated amount. Thankfully this has now all come to an end..... the loan/overdraft are now fully paid up and some of the credit cards - others are back on track. I was wondering if i could be cheeky enough to claim back the PPI ..... is this advisable? Of the cards still running I would like this deducted off the final balance which will then give me a clean page to NOT start again lol

Thanks

    Hello there

Normally if mis sold then you can make a reclaim on the PPI, but as you were under a payment plan, the ppi was also included within the balance which added to the debt, and was obviously worthless to you anyway, so give it a go.

Complete the FOS questionnaire (this is instead of using a reclaim template letter), you will find this on link below further down the page as stage one.

Remember to keep a copy for yourself and send one to the ones who set up and sold you the ppi from the start.
They have 8 weeks in full to respond.

Good luck, please keep us posted.
    Cheers.;)

    Hi there

It does not necessarily mean you agreed to it, with mine, it as the banks own automated crossed, and cannot remember it being there when I signed the application, it was in my opinion added afterwards, because I did not even walk away with a copy the same day either, as it was sold to me in the branch, I did not receive the copy until gone a month afterwards.

So if they try fobbing you off, by stating you agreed and signed for the ppi, remember it may not be the case, and besides you could still have other reasons to make a reclaim anyway.;)
