RyanAir changing checked luggage allowance 15kg to 20kg
I can't seem to find anything on RyanAir website in FAQ or Manage my bookings.
Wanted to ask before I ring up the expensive phone number
I'm considering changing my pre ordered checked baggage 15KG to 20KG, due to the weight of the initial empty suitcase.
Can this be done and if so charge and is it over the phone only?
Thanks

just looked on travelrepublic where i booked it, they charge a £10 admin fee. Bit annoyed as looking at the booking, 20KG was never an option on the webform0

On the Fees page http://www.ryanair.com/en/questions/table-of-fees it's an extra tenner each way (15kg-£15 or £20 for July/Aug; 20kg-£25 or £30). Plus it's an extra £20 (each way) for booking via call centre, so who knows wht they might charge if you phone them.
May be cheaper to buy a lighter case...?0 -
ryanair charge £10 per person when you book the flights, The luggage allowance is £40 for 15kgs and £60 for 20kgs

well me and wife have 15KG each, but taking into account baby gear and initital luggage weight, the allowance left probably isn't that much ;-(
maybe best to look at a lightweight cabin luggage aswell then
more expense!

Why not just buy a cabin bag on wheels, you are allowed 10kg each, We have just returned from 11 nights in Gran Canaria, we took 1 hold bag 15kg, between 3 of us, plus one each cabin bag purchased from ebay, they are really light, and can pack loads in them, plus they easily fitted in the cage, as everyone on our flight was made to put bag in cage, and if it didn't fit charged £4, don't know how to link to bag but if ypu copy and past into ebay search bag should come up. cabin wheeled hand luggage easyjet, bmi baby,55x40x20 (260820958395)0
