It doesnt work on 10.00 it needs to be 20.00 then with BOGOFs comes to 10.00 then minus the vouchers. The tills have been upgraded to work out the BOGOF before the total, i made this mistake. hope this helps

    It worked for me today.....

    4 x macleans toothpaste = £10.36

    toothpaste bogof - 5.18

    total = £5.18

    coupon 2.50

    total to pay = £2.68

    Maybe it depends on store??

  • Today I bought 4 x Right Guard (Cool) and 2 x Radox Liquid Soap. These were all BOGOFs. The Right Guard was £1.99 each and the Radox soap was £1.66 each. Total was £11.32, £5.66 after BOGOFs. I then used £2.50 voucher and 2 x £1 vouchers and 2 50 pointers. Anyway, the till did not deduct the cost of two of the Right Guards, even though they were BOGOFs. Therefore, I went to CS and due to the R+R policy I was refunded the full amount of all 4 Right Guards (£7.96) so I only ended up paying for 1 Radox Liquid Soap (£1.66) but I had used £4.50 of H&B coupons. Therefore I was in profit by £2.84 and got 4 Right Guards and 2 Radox Liquid Soaps for free!!! And I also got 100 clubcard points. :T :j

Not sure about your store, but it still works on BOGOF totals in my local Tescos stores.

I can't see them upgrading the tills for this, what they should do is print the coupon barcodes properly next time (like the coupons the sometimes print in their magazines, where you HAVE to buy the item or the till beeps, and you can't use more than one coupon with out buying the same number of products).

But let's hope they don't rush to do so!

I wonder if you happened to buy some items which did not count towards your H&B total even though you would expect them to? I have found this with facial wipes, baby wipes, feminine hygiene stuff and one of the more expensive BOGOF bath creams which were on offer until recently - couldn't work out which one hadn't been counted when I had spent something like £12 (£8 or so after some BOGOFS) and the £2.50 one wouldn't scan.

Should have taken my own advice and taken an extra H&B cheapish item to the till, then left it at the end by the magazines (i.e. not put it on the conveyor belt). This has worked in the past, just a 98p Aquafresh then scanned through at the end has made the total up (even though you think you've added it up perfectly already...).

If anybody wants any of the £2.50 vouchers pm me today and I will post them tomorrow.
  • I am having trouble getting them through in my store. today I bought 2 x impulse at £1.98 and 4 x face wipes at £1.48 and a bar of soap to take it over the £10 but the till would only take 1x £1 and two 50 points. A totally different combination the other day didn't work either so I am picking the wrong BOGOFS or my store recognises the actual spend and not the total before bogofs. I may try with a straight £10 of stuff with no bogofs to see if that works as I have loads of 50 points still to use.

If anyone wants some of the money off vouchers (I will use the points ones if it kills me!), then pm me and I will put in the post tomorrow first class.

    Cheers

Harriet, it's the face wipes (as I mentioned in my post a bit higher up) they don't seem to count as H&B, nor do baby wipes, nor medicated or sanitary stuff.

I also had a problem today, I bought 3 of the xmas toiletries packs at £6.99 each (but get cheapest free). Till wouldn't scan ANY of the H&B vouchers, I suppose they're not meant to be used on xmas stock. I had got 3 Impulse gift packs.

But anyhoo I went to CS as I had a points till-spit not accepted either, and the nice lady credited the points and gave me £2.50 cash for the £2.50 H&B voucher I offered. She checked I had spent enough (I didn't offer the £1 ones, didn't want to push it and didn't R&R anything either, keeping a 'normal' customer profile sometimes!).

Its not just the face wipes.

Today I noticed that the till calculates the amount AFTER bogof now and it would only take one of my vouchers. Over the weekend and yesterday it was great but looks like some of the store have adjusted their tills.

To top it all they refused to take ANY other coupons and CS said it was now policy not to take coupons unless you buy the product.

Rang HO and they said No they will take one coupon without buying the product.

Tesco stores please themselves, but I do think that a lot of stores have changed the way their tills work
