New Tesco Health and Beauty leaflets

Did 2 shops today,
first one got toothbrushes etc - it came to £21 before BOGOFs. Got to the till and the cashier refused to take all the vouchers in one batch so she would only scan one 50 point voucher, a £2.50 one and a £1.00 voucher so I paid £6.50 for the items.
2nd shop - I bought the medicated wipes for my DD1 on bogof at £1.90 each - bought enough to get it over the £10 mark, handed over £2.50 voucher, several 50 pointers and 2 £1.00 vouchers. NONE of the vouchers would scan despite the cashier trying. So off I went to CS, she advised that the vouchers only work before the bogofs are applied etc, and she said just this time she would give me £2.50 back for the one voucher, she would not however let me use one 50 point voucher or the £1.00 off.
Not much success today then - I thought the tesco own make cleansing wipes would be included in this promotion but obviously not.

I generally think this time these vouchers are hit & miss & the problem is not that you are buying the wrong things.
I bought the same as last time, lynx body spray, toothpaste, lilets & right guard spray, only 1 £1.00 would work, 3 x 50 points ( that's all I had ). The £2.50 would not scan at all.
I now have another batch & will put the £2.50 at the top of the pile hoping that will be accepted but may void the £1.00 ones.
As for the health care ones my last lot went in the bin as I was using them on the last date for 1 x plasters & 6 x cheap asprin. Only to be told I was only aloud 2 packs of asprin for Over Dose reasons but could put them through seperately. No good for the £4.00 spend so said not to bother.
I will be using mine for nit lotion, plasters & maximum purchase of asprins. Not to the best advantage but they are the only things I need & will use.0 -

Do asprins work then? I didn't try them last promotion as I thought they would be classed as medicines, got vitamins instead.
Did try it with E45 Itch relief cream, which was classed as medicines, but I convinced the CS girl I'd bought the right item and she gave me the £1 back, if she looked closely enough on the receipt she would have seen it marked as medicines.0 -
Tesco Mickleover had loads of these booklets in today at the pharmacy counter.
There is also a potential RnR for those who want to try it quickly! The Olay body wash is BOGOF but I bought the dry one and BOGOF didn't work. Refund of £6.94 so with voucher usage they ended up paying me to take away over £24 of their products.Don't know if any of the other ones will do this or not.

Just a short note to add that I tried to use the healthcare vouchers when buying Zantac, and the discounts wouldn't come off. Like Tibbie's mum, I got plenty of vitamins instead.'Into every abyss I still bear the blessing of my affirmation' (Friedrich Nietzsche)0 -
Tibble's mum,
I never did try the voucher last time as I wasn't aloud them all to bring my total over £4.00.
The voucher says excluding prescriptions so therefore it should work.
Will be going Tesco soon just lying low for a minute for several reasons!
Asda have some great bargains.0 -
I always do low shops with the vouchers either £10 or £12 so i use 1 x 2.50 voucher and either two or three of the £1 vouchers. Its just working out which products to buy with either spend.0

Does anybody know if there are any of these leaflets in Swansea Fforestfach? My local store, Haverfordwest, had them last time but now now. I wouldn't mind knowing in advance seeing as though it's going to take me an hour to drive there!

I e mailed tesco about the lack of health and beauty vouchers around my area(Rotherham,Doncaster, Chesterfield) this is their reply
''I fully appreciate your comments at not being included in our latest promotional mailing and I am sorry for the disappointment caused.
Complimentary mailings are sent out throughout the year and are all different. They may be targeted to specific area, such as when a new store is opening, or sent to a random selection of Clubcard holders. Therefore, not every customer will receive each mailing.
Our focus remains on customer satisfaction with their overall shopping experience. We are always testing new ideas and feedback from our customers is very welcome.
Thank you for taking the time to contact us.''
no mention of sending me any through the post which i requested.  :mad:0 -
Mollymunchkin, from what I can see the vouchers are put out and gone within a very short period of time. Would hate to think you had a wasted journey though, I have yet to see any in my local area.
I recently bought off ebay a staff discount voucher for Tescos, then when the health and beauty vouchers appeared in store the same seller was selling huge amounts of these vouchers. Obviously a perk for working for Tescos as she was able to cash in on this promotion.
