Hi
I am an existing Sky TV customer and I want to switch to Sky Talk and Broadband. In addition to this i also want to pay line rental to Sky. My BT line is not connected so I know I will have to pay a reconnection fee to turn it back on. However, my problem is if I contact BT to connect my line, will I then be commited to a 12mth minimum contract with them? Is there anyway that Sky or any other company are able to do it for me so i dont have to commit to a BT contract?
Thanks

Any telecoms provider can have your line reactivated, but only some will do so, Sky do offer this service. Bear in mind that if you go with Sky broadband and your exchange is LLU'd for Sky, you will then be stuck with Sky broadband forever, unless you take your line rental back to BT first.
Go to samknows.com, do an exchange search and check all your LLU options first.
Edit: if Sky not available LLU, forget it, as you would be on the dreadful Sky Connect service. No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
If you will be paying Sky your line rental it has nothing to do with BT. Only if there is Sky LLU at your exchange though, if so just call Sky and they will sort it all out.0
