I know this has probably been discussed before but with new releases and dropping prices can anyone recommend a good buy for approx £100-£120?

I can't recommend anything in particular, but suggest 2 points to consider that may affect your choice.
1) what software will it use to upload music files? Will you be confined to the one supplied, if so is it any good (google it to find user forums); or better (in my view) can you use alternatives such as MusicMatch?
2) What is battery life (iPods are unimpressive onthis count)0 -
Sandisk player is cheap and so far the best on battery, it has very good reviews and comes from a solid manufacturer in memory market.0

I'd first decide what you want?
Lots of storage space?
What physical size are you looking for?
Will you want to use it during exercise/gym/jogging?
The new range of iPod Nano's are out. They look very impressive.
