PPI success

Hello,
Just wanted to post a quick success story -
I challenged Tesco bank over a PPI policy. I opened the loan with the policy and the only reason i felt it was mis-sold was because I have a secure job (at least at the time - maybe not now!) and I didn't want the policy. I did take it though and commenced the loan repayments.
However, I cancelled the PPI policy after six months, and four years into the loan I decided to give it a go and see if i could claim back the money from the six months I paid.
I thought it would be a long shot and I had absolutely no expectation of succeeding, but for the cost of sending two letters I received a letter from Tesco today stating they would refund me £862.42. Frankly I'm still in a state of shock!
I would implore anyone who feels they have been mis-sold to get writing - you never know how it will work out. Even if I succeeded I did not anticipate getting more than a few hundred out of them....so this has come as a bit of a surprise to say the least.
Unfortunately all the above money will go into paying off other debts - no carribean cruise quite yet!
Good luck to everyone else going through the process.
