AVG Linkscanner & Microsoft Security Essentials

Does anyone know if it's possible to install AVG Linkscanner with Microsoft Security Essentials already installed. Each time I try to install Linkscanner it keeps asking me to remove Security Essentials but I don't want to do that. Anyone know the answer?
My advice has no basis more reliable than my own meandering experience.

According to Google there isn't one. People have been posting onto the AVG forums and are being told they can't co-exist. I didn't do too much searching but the AVG forums are the best place to look.Throwing acid is bad.... in some peoples eyes...0

Take this from someone who has dealt with thousands of AVG installations in his time:
Link scanner is a waste of time - don't install it.If my post helped you in anyway, please hit the "Thanks" button! Please note any advice I give is followed at your own risk!0 -
You cannot install two anti virus programs at once they will conflict, you choose one or the other.
Microsoft Security Essentials is a robust reliable anti virus and will be more than sufficient to keep your PC safe (along with making sure you are setup for automatically downloading the latest security patches from microsoft)
AVG is a largely useless junk anti virus that scores poorly in independent tests and is about as effective as a wet paper bag at securing a computer, further 'Linkscanner' is one of the least useful features of it.0 -

Me and you could be good friends!
