Why did it have to go back? How long did you have it?0

I sent back a shower to them on the advice of my bathroom fitter. It was in the box, never taken out so just as received. I paid £491.11 inc VAT for it and they have refunded me just £417.44 saying they have deducted 15% admin fees!
£74.11 to return a shower :mad::mad::mad:
Question is - was there anything wrong with it - or did you decide you wanted a different model /type etc ....
Did you buy in shop & is there a re-stocking charge - they are allowed to charge you a re-stocking fee if nothing wrong with product ....

What is a reasonable price to cover the cost of packaging, sending, updating the systems, checking all the components are returned and the opportunity cost of selling to another customer?0
-
We reserve the right to apply an administration and re-stocking charge of between 15-25%, if we are not notified of any cancellations within the 7 day cooling off period. If you cancel your contract within the 7 day cooling off period then no re-stocking/administration will apply.
Just read their T's and C's
Hope this helps0 -
If you had let them know within 7 days of receipt of the shower that you wished to return it you would have got a full refund.0

yet another 'rip-off' thread which isn't actually a rip-off
if you didn't like their T&C you shouldn't have bought from themLegal team on standby0 -

...'rip-off' is used far too frequently on MSE. Unfortunately it's used often in conjuction with the word 'scam'. The use of both words in a thread/post makes it doubly unlikely that it is!0 -
This was done by a chap in City - in 2 minutes flat. not in my opinion £74 worth of work.
The point is that as you didn't return with 7 days, they don't actually have to do anything - not even accept the return .... as long they stated what the return policy in their t&cs, then that is fine ....
