  • Hi Earth Mother

There are a few out there already although I'm not sure what you have tried. I've heard a company called The Little Green Sheep (thelittlegreensheep.co.uk) is launching a new baby wash and shampoo. I was speaking to one of the managers there and he said that it would all be Soil Association certified as organic, so it might be worth a try. I'm embarrassed to admit that I sometimes use baby toiletries as it seems to contain less chemicals than the usual supermarket stuff!

I hope that helps and good luck!

It is not shower gel but............

My wife has very sensitive skin and we are trying to be more eco friendly. We found a seller on ebay of home made soap. We have bought twice off them and my wife has had no problems at all with it. We just use a few rubs on a shower scrub thing and it lathers like anything

Just to say, the last time we bought, the package went astray in the post, the seller sorted it within a day (including making fresh soap as she had ran out of what we wanted) and included 2 free bars for our trouble. So I am happy with her as a seller

    They are called gower-soaps

Don't know if this is of any use to you

  • I'd second the recommendation for Faith in Nature, I suffer from itchy legs when I use certain soaps, but seem fine with Faith in Nature Shower Gel (it's a combined shower gel and foam bath, you can use it as either).

I also get an itchy scalp with quite a few shampoos, have found the Faith Seaweed one works best for me, though Hemp & Meadowfoam is ok too but I do prefer the Seaweed. Love the smell of the Lavender one but it doesn't seem to suit my hair sadly.

Earthwise Girls often have free product samples it might be worth contacting them to see if they have any shower gel ones you could try out?
