My daughter has a 19" flatscreen tv in her room, the tv has scart, s-video, analogue and vga ports.
She now has a PC in her room and has an old CRT monitor that is on it's last legs.
Is it possible to connect the flatscreen to the PC via the vga port, but also keep it connected to her dvd player via the scart lead (Obviously not using both at the same time)?

Yes. You then use the TV input selector to switch between the VGA monitor or scart inputs.
Depending on the capabilities of the graphics card in your PC, you could possibly use the TV as an extended monitor (e.g., dual monitor configuration)0
