I think it will be, Violetta. I've been to the one in Kirkcaldy and it's pretty good!
Funnily enough, I was also in the Dundee Clark's store this week and when I asked about making an appointment I was told catagorically that they were not doing them this year!! I was offered a ticket and an estimate of the time I'd wait 70-80 mins- pffft, I left.
Perth's Clarks was empty yesterday morning (but I was without my son) and I was told the best way to do it all in one go is to order the estimated size (or a couple to make sure) online (my son is picky and only likes one style - same one for the last 3 years). You'll get a text when they are in store and you then phone for an appt to collect them.
I don't know how well this will work, but watch this space.
Thats kind of what I did , but we went instore a few weeks ago to get measured & it was still quiet, but had to order online , got a text and email, nipped in & booked an appointment, but I didn't know the number to ring then. It was so much easier.
    Booo!!!

We have 2 Clarks very close to me but I never go in their actual shop but buy the Clarks or sometimes Startrite as they are just as good from either our local independent shoe shop, John Lewis or Brantano who all stock them for they same price, and normally a much smaller waiting time!!

And the list of stores that do appointments is here

Thanks for the info, I didn't know they did appointments. I'm on their mailing list but never got an email about this! I'd be interested to know how they chose which stores offer appointments. Near me they've chosen a really small store with a very limited range, instead of a large store which stocks the full range!

And if Clarks are reading this - please provide a toilet in your busiest stores that sell children's shoes! We've had to give up our place in the queue loads of times cos DD needed to go! :o We tend to shop somewhere else now which has a toilet in their children's shoe department.

A tip I've read recently on another thread (don't know who posted) about labelling items for school included labelling the shoes as there are a few styles which are more popular than others and many times today I heard, "My friend x has got those ones."

PLEASE PLEASE label everything...you would be surprised how many kids DO NOT recognise their own things...

you can use copydex to glue name tapes in shoes/plimsolls

I am fed up of writing names in plimsolls...
