Sounds like slugs really.... I would try either egg shells crumpled round the plant, some copper tape around the top of the pot if they are pot grown or some used coffee grounds round the bottom. Slugs eat everything. Greedy greedy creatures. I wouldn't mind if they only took a little but they just don't stop!Feb GC: £200 Spent: £190.790

chances are it's rat's biting a chunk out, the slug's and snail's are then attracted to the damaged area as a secondary scavenger, hence the slime, although a damaged courgette fruit may also ooze slime out naturallysquaaaaaaaaacccckkkkkk!!!! :money:0

I am fed up with my courgettes the have only produced 3 up to now am feeding the 1 a week with tom food and they have enough water and plenty of room maybe they just dont like me !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!0

After all my saying its slugs and snails, my courgettes have been munched too - they were doing SOOOO well too!!You can bury a lot of troubles digging in the dirt
