Travel insurance to cover volcanic ash?

Hi everyone

Looking for some advice. I am going on a package holiday with thomas cook next. Looking to get travel insurance from the post office, but they will not cover volcanic ash.

Does anyone know, would I be covered anyway for this by the travel company?

Ie if it all started up again, and my flight was cancelled, would I get my money back?

Thanks

If it truly is a package holiday and the holiday is cancelled you'd get the lot back from Thomas Cook.

If it's not a package holiday you'd get the flight back but not the accommodation.

It can sometimes be difficult to tell what's a package and what isn't.
  • Hi dzug1

I think it will be a package holiday.

Booked through Direct Holidays. 2 week all inclusive hotels, flights, transfers etc included in price.

    Thanks for the advice
