My employer has negotiated a special deal with HP of 15% off PCs laptops etc. I'm interested in buying a new PC that will allow my children to play games, but I'm not looking to spend a lot of money. Are HP better than Dell ?

Depends who you speak to really.
I'd price up the HP with the discount and compare it against a Dell. Go for the cheapest.
Its like comparing a Vectra and a Mondeo. Both have good/bad points, cost around the same and do the same job. Personally tho I wouldn't touch a Vectra with a bargepole!

Im not a big fan of Dell, mainly because of the cost of upgrading parts, HP products have more variations in upgrading, but both run pretty much as good as the other.:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A

I absolutely love my HP. Had no problems and plays evey game I load into it. Don't like dell as my last laptop was crap but that might be because it was a cheaper model but I would still expect the same customer service which I did not get. The cheapest HP in PC World is the HP DV2045EA which as Intel Core Duo T2300E Processor 1.66GHz.
